Rockies production resumes slow recovery

After slowly building through the early days of February, Rockies production took a bit of a dip from Feb 7-14, averaging just 7.6 Bcf/d and bottoming out at 7.58 Bcf/d.  Since then, Rockies production has resumed its slowly-but-surely recovery, rebounding to as high as 7.76 Bcf/d. The increase from trough to peak was driven by a 72 MMcf/d increase in the Piceance and a 70 MMcf/d increase in the Powder River.  These gains helped offset a 46 MMcf/d decline in the Green River-Overthrust. The GRO will likely need to see increased drilling activity if Rockies production is going to hit the 8 Bcf/d mark again. Note: Platts’ offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20 in observance of Presidents Day. Reports will not be published on this day. Publishing will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 21. If you have any questions please call 1-720-264-6600.
