Production shifts from Southwest PA to South PA

So far this February, production has been relatively flat to January’s levels, averaging 23.5 Bcf/d. Despite this, there have been significant shifts in volumes among the PAs – with volumes declining in Southwest Wet PA looking to be showing up in increases to the South PA sample. Southwest Wet PA has declined 344 MMcf/d on average this month, while South PA has increased by 343 MMcf/d. This shift may be in relation to an EQT midstream project -- a header pipeline for range resources -- expanding gathering capacity in Southwestern PA, causing volumes to now show up in the South PA producing region. While details are bare, a portion of the capacity for the project was expected at the end of 2016, with the remainder planned for the first half of 2017.
