MarkWest's Seneca I and Seneca II plants have Oct. 14 start date

MarkWest’s Seneca I and Seneca II gas processing facilities are planned to start commissioning on Oct. 14 in Noble County, OH. Each facility will have 200 MMcf/d of processing capacity, supporting production from Antero, Gulfport, Rex Energy, PDC Energy and CONSOL Energy among others. Seneca I will be interconnected with TETCO at Berne, OH. Additionally, an interconnect with REX will be established by February 2014. A producer has already subscribed 200 MMcf/d of capacity on REX with the gas likely headed to the Chicago market. Like Dominion’s Natrium facility in West Virginia, Seneca I and Seneca II are expected to ramp up to their 200-MMcf/d capacity quickly. These two facilities are part of a three-facility Seneca processing complex. The Seneca III facility is expected to come online in the second quarter of 2014 and will process an additional 200 MMcf/d. In total, the Seneca processing complex will process 600 MMcf/d of gas in the Utica Basin.
